Our first show took place during the last two weekends of September in 2002.
The show was an
assortment of scenes and monologues along a guided hike through our forest site in Woodside,
CA. It was a rewarding experience that we hoped was enjoyed by all that attended.
Please feel free to view production stills and photos from the showcase here -
Conversations in the Woods - Photo AlbumThanks to all who attended and all who were able to volunteer for us. We couldn't have done it without your support. Please read the comments we received about our show!
"We had a wonderful time yesterday! We were the couple that didn't know anyone in the cast... Just theater lovers who were out for a hike... Keep us posted, because we're fans, now." "I liked how everyone performed together. They all felt natural and not forced which is very important." "Great job last weekend. I was very impressed by not only the level of acting, but also how much blood, sweat and tears went into the production. (Hopefully not too much blood) Congratulations on a successful project." "BRAVO! EXCELLENT! Nice selection of plays. Thank you. Hope you do it again next year." "...I really enjoyed the performance. The whole concept is great. Obviously, the location is beautiful and the production was well orchestrated." "Theatre in the Woods is a great idea and a marvelous, imaginative addition to our rural neighborhood. I enjoyed the diversity of the texts that were chosen, the skill and enthusiasm with which they were performed, the beauty of the natural settings, and the suspense about what would happen next. I particularly enjoyed the fact that (with the exception of the 2 Shakespeare monologues) the scenes were totally unknown to me, as were most of their authors. This made it very fresh and original. Being made part of the wedding party by being offered (delicious!) cake, made a particularly nice finale... We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and look forward to more productions in future." |
