Why don't you go lay an egg, Axelrod! *** Swine!! Striking a superior officer. And then there were five.

Theatre in the Woods was founded by Brian Markley, Gina Baleria, Karen Offereins, Reagan Richey and Victor Carrion (starting from bottom left going clockwise in above photo), who all met in a Studio A.C.T. class in the winter of 2002. As the class neared its end, we decided to form a theatre production company to continue working together and to choose productions we found challenging and rewarding.

A private site of forest property in Woodside became available to us for productions, and since then we've produced one show each year there near the end of summer.

Our first production took place in late September of 2002. Conversations in the Woods was a showcase of scenes and monologues along a guided hike. All five of the original founders performed / directed various scenes and monologues that culminated in a wedding finale.

Since then we've done one show each summer in Woodside. And as the years have gone by, we've added more people to our company. And beginning with our 5th annual Woodside show, we changed our name to AtmosTheatre now that we're expanding our season to include shows in San Francisco.
